Concept
The concept of klik1 was born in the early part of 1998 when numerous requests were received from friends who wanted
to find web addresses without the frustration of getting 3,675,371 matches to a search engine query.
klik1's answer was to make a multi-category reference site listing only the most relavent up-to-date sites and to revert back to the old time interactive menu system for
easy navigation. klik1 is updated very often and has top quality material for everyone - from
Aviation to Mutual Funds to Yachting and
a whole lot more in between!
Child Safety
klik1 also wanted to address child safety. To that end, klik1 does its best to check all 3rd
party links for appropriatness and klik1's
kids pages contains links only to sites
operated by responsible agencies and individuals. You may encounter pop up courtesy alerts in
certain areas in klik1 with reasons clearly indicated.
klik1 also provides links to companies that offer child surfing
safety software and organizations who can advise parents about child safety on the internet.
Please also check out the Sex Offender link at the bottom of the Home page. There, you can check to see
if any such individuals have moved into your neighborhood.
Missing and Exploited Children
klik1 asks that you take a little time to help parents and law enforcement to find missing children. To
this end, klik1 brings to you, photos of missing chldren in all 50 US States
and the means to report a sighting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Senior Citizens
klik1 has listened to senior citizens. Pages are consistent in appearance, non gleary, non cluttered and type can be easily seen without the need
for a magnifying glass! And, for those who find it difficult to get out, klik1 makes every effort to find
and bring every possible relevant product and service to your computer screen. Should klik1 have overlooked
something useful, please do not hesitate to drop the web address in an email for inclusion.
Focus
klik1's focus is to keep building on and maintaining this reference in a manner consistant with it's original
goals as outlined above. klik1 now serves families most of whom reside in or near more than 2,650 cities. All

Navigation on klik1 is enhanced greatly by klik1's site map and search engine. The site map allows you to immediately link to
any of klik1's first and second tier pages. While there are well over 100 third tier pages, finding those pages
becomes very easy through the use of first and second tier pages.

The search engine searches only within the klik1 site and as with regular search engines, successful searches will result from just typing in one word and then
researching again if necessary to narrow the results by using another word or phrase.
